While the location by the river offers beautiful scenic views perfect for outdoor activities, the overall experience at Chestnut Mountain was a mix of positives and negatives. I really enjoyed the skiing and amenities available on-site, but unfortunately, the check-in process and some of the food left much to be desired. With high incidental fees and service that wasn’t always up to par, it’s hard to say I would recommend it without hesitation.

Chestnut Mountain offers a variety of winter activities and has a friendly atmosphere that made our stay enjoyable. The skiing was fantastic, and the pool was a hit with the kids. The accommodations felt outdated and not as clean as I expected, which was disappointing.
